The Ataija Beige is a beige/cream limestone, with thin grain and uniform background. It presents some occasional lighter and darker areas, dark red spots, as well as some occasional well defined dark brownish vein. This is one of the main variations of this limestone stone, which also presents a blue/grey variation. This is one of the hardest limestone that are extracted in Portugal, with considerable reputation and international demand.
Due to its hardness and limited size of most blocks (these present several natural fissures), the Ataija Beige is mostly used on exterior street paving with considerable thickness but small dimensions. This is also a preferential limestone to be used on diverse landscaping, some cladding, flooring and decoration.
