The Ataija Blue is a blue / grey coloured limestone, with thin grain and uniform background. It presents some occasional lighter and darker areas, dark blue spots, as well as some occasional well defined dark blue vein. This is one of the main variations of this limestone stone, which also presents a beige colour. This is one of the hardest limestone that are extracted in Portugal.
Due to its considerable hardness and limited size of most blocks, the Ataija Blue is mostly used on exterior street paving with considerable thickness but small dimensions. This is also a preferential limestone to be used on diverse landscaping, some cladding, flooring and decoration.
